The World’s Most Secretive Billionaires

I was sent a very interesting article today regarding some of the world’s wealthiest people that are not commonly or even heard of.  We are used to seeing famous people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet on the top list, but there are many wealthy people that are not publicly published. In fact, someone once told me that the wealthiest person in the world is not listed in the Top 100 Richest List. I guess not every wealthy person wants to be seen in the spotlight. And I can understand that.

For example, if I win the grand prize in the lottery, I would not want to be shown on TV. But the million dollar question is, Would I blog about it?  Hmm…

Well, here’s the link to the article.

Carnival of Personal Finance #160

The latest edition of the Carnival of Personal Finance has been published at Mighty Bargain Hunter with a history of the flag of the United States. It’s a timely and interesting theme, plus the Carnival includes many great articles from around the web, so take a look.

My article, Stock Challenge Results June 2008 is included there.

Stocks Challenge Results June 2008

June was a tough month for trading in the stock market. For the month of June, the Dow Jones was down 10%, the Nasdaq was down 9% and the S&P 500 was down 9% as well.

Six people participated in the Stocks Challenge for June, and all but one was in the negative zone after the last close day of June. Tap Water was the only person with a pick that came out positive. His pick was APWR and it netted a whopping 14% at the end of June, making him the winner of the June 2008 Stock Challenge. He will receive the first prize.
