As a Youtube partner I have stopped telling people that I put videos on YouTube for a living, I now just tell them Im a freelance video editor, it saves a lot of explanation.
None of my family or friends know that I have earned well into six figures from youtube, on the taxman and my accountant know.

Some of you need to do your math better. The post about raywilliamjohnson, was 1 million 100 thousand, learn to read numbers better. And the comment for sxe phil, I know it’s 2 years later, but I just did the math, and he makes approx. 900k a year with this formula. These numbers don’t sound terribly off when it boils down to channels like Swifty and such, he spends so much money on prizes to just give away to his fans, I believe he makes 280k a year (accord to the formula), it would be difficult for him to make A LOT less, give literally $1000 worth of prizes away a month and still not need a second job (which he doesn’t have). Bunch of haters imo.
