As an active investor, I analyze and employ different strategies to invest in the market. I do play the market more often than the typical investor, because I love to study the market and trade stocks. As a result, I take more calculated risks.

In "Cash is King," I was referring to only one of my accounts. I use my taxable brokerage account to play the market and take advantage of market inefficiencies.

With that said, I also follow the fundamental principles of "Emotionless Investing." I contribute to my retirement accounts on a regular basis, regardless of how the market is doing. My regular contributions have been doing well for me and the process is so automatic I don't even think about it.

What happened to the fundamental principle of "Emotionless Investing"? Is it simply that you preach and not follow yourself? This is great.
