You can redeem the $500 cash in a check made payable to you or get it credited to your statement. Or, you can buy two free airline tickets, up to $312.50 each, for a total worth of $625.

The $95 annual fee is waived for the first year.

This is a business credit card, however you can still apply for this card even if you do not own a company. You can put your own name as the business and use your SSN as the tax ID.

FIA Card Services sent me a targeted offer for a $25 statement credit after I make qualifying purchases this summer. I have to spend more than $199 with my Fidelity Investment Rewards American Express Card at summer rest and relaxation locations by September 30, 2011.

Preferred Choice

I think that 100,000 Rewards Points would be the best option, because the Points translate to $1,000 cash back or even more value with gift cards and travel rewards.

I received this exclusive offer from Discover Card in the mail yesterday:

You are eligible to earn an extra $500 Cashback Bonus with your Discover Card. Call 1-866-645-1436 by May 1, 2011 and tell us you’re interested. Then, when you make $3,000 in purchases with your card each calendar month from May 2011 through October 2011, you’ll get an extra $500 Cashback Bonus. Remember, cash is the real reward, so call us today to take advantage of this limited-time offer.

To enroll:

  1. Call 1-866-645-1436 by May 1, 2011 to sign up.
  2. Use Discover for all your purchases like groceries and gas as well as monthly bills like phone and cable.
  3. Earn an extra $500 CashBack Bonus when you make $3,000 in purchases with your card in each calendar month from May 2011 through October 2011.

This deal appears to be only for select cardholders. I received a call from Discover Card last night and signed up for the deal. Note that I would have spend $3,000 each month from May to October 2011. Let’s do a quick calculation:

$3,000 x 6 months = $18,000

That means I would have to spend at least $18,000 to earn $500 in Cashback. Now I have to figure out how to charge at least $3,000 on my Discover Card.

Wells Fargo FREE MTA MetroCard Giveaway

Wells Fargo was having a promotion and passed out a FREE MTA MetroCard with holder to pedestrians in midtown NYC. I passed by and received one. It looks like they want to let everyone know that that they own Wachovia now.

The message on the card says:
Wachovia is now Wells Fargo in New York. Our commitment to service continues.
