I looked back at one of the mock portfolios I had created. It was called “Undiscovered Stocks,” and the mock portfolio was created in Feb 2006. I saw a 122% increased next to one of the stocks, and the ticker was ZOLT. In my notes next to the stock, I had written, “High Rated Carbon Fiber in high demand.” The stock shot up to nearly $40 in May 2006. The price has come down since and is hovering in the 30’s, still way above the price of 13.87 in my mock portfolio. The stock had gone through rough waves but the horizon ahead looks great. It has a growth rate of 50% for the next 5 years and is planning to tap into the emerging markets.
