About This Site:

Hi! I started this site to track my journey to financial freedom. I talk about my personal experience, my goals, my progress and my challenges on this blog. I share my thoughts/opinions on anything related to money and try to suggest ways that we can all make money.

I am just a regular guy who has a dream of one day becoming financially independent. I do not have a financial degree or any financial certifications, but I believe knowledge lies in you and not on paper. We control what we want to learn and there is no limit to it.

I believe we could all learn from others regardless of the degrees we hold or the amount of money we have in our banks, so I hope to hear from other people. I would like everyone to share their financial knowledge and by helping one another we can grow each of our financial net worth.

About Smarty:
I am an ambitious guy in my late-twenties. I live and grew up in New York City. I have a desire to succeed in the business world and I want get out of the rat race one day. I want to build wealth and become financially independent. I have been learning to take control of my finances and investments since graduating college. I regularly read financial news/magazines and follow the stock market. I have an innate passion for investing. I invest in the stock market and real estate, and I am always in the works of coming up with business ideas. My goal for retirement is to have enough passive income to live a worry-free lifestyle without working. Ideally, that would mean collecting rent from real estate properties and payouts from a portfolio of high-yielding dividend stocks. (more…)
